Unique Girls Groups

Group Therapy

celebrating u together (13-16 years or 17-19 years)

This 6-week group will focus on building the girls’ self-understanding and relationships through exploring and celebrating their diagnosis and building friendship skills.   Many girls with autism spectrum conditions feel alone and have not had the opportunity to meet other girls on the spectrum. Having a girls only teenage group is a wonderful way to focus on the female presentation of Asperger’s Syndrome and help to foster some friendships.

Celebrating U Together (17-19 years) will be running in the Term 1 school holidays and into Term 2, 2017 at 5.15-6.30pm on Tuesdays from 4th April-16th May. Please contact Danuta on 0414014985 or email: info@uniqueupsychology.com.au to register your interest. We hope to run the younger teen stream (13-16yrs) In Term 4, 2017. Please email Danuta to register your daughter for this if interested.

Group facilitators- Danuta Bulhak-Paterson & Cassandra Murphy

Fee- $750 ($125 per session). Group rebates are possible.

FRIENDLY U (10-12 YEARS)

This 6-week group is a social skills friendship group designed for girls on the spectrum. Topics will cover: types of friends, making and keeping friends, conversation skills, saying no and being assertive, common friendship problems for girls, and bullying. It will be a great way for the girls to meet other like-minded girls and practice their social skills.

We hope to run Friendly U again in 2017. Please contact Danuta on 0414014985 or email: info@uniqueupsychology.com.au to register your interest.
